Upcoming Programs: At the Jennings Auditorium in the Greencroft Community Center.
Join us on March 19, 2026, for Luke Gascho’s program at the Goshen Historical Society, titled “Land before Lines: Methods, maps, and Potawatomi interaction in Early Goshen Surveys.”
In this presentation, we’ll explore how surveyors achieved such impressive efficiency and accuracy in their work. We’ll also dlve into the stories of the Potawatomi and homesteading settlers as they interacted during the surveying process. Using maps from 1830 and today, we’ll bring these stories to life in the lecture.
